Praise God!!!! We are in Turbo on day 490!!!!!

back to Our Walk of Faith

After nearly 10 weeks of limited access to nearly EVERYTHING, we finally crossed the last expanse of water that was inhibiting our being able to walk on to Peru early this morning!!!!! We traveled all night long on a banana boat, so we are looking forward to going to sleep soon. Colombia is amazing so far...we have been here for 3 weeks...Colombia has a bad reputation, but the people here are incredible. We have learned of some areas that we should avoid, but the vast majority of this beautiful country is peaceful and free of the civil war that the people of this country have suffered through for the last 60 years. The presence of God is strong here...Romans 5:20b says "But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God's unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded..." We have seen the truth of this verse in Colombia. We cannot wait to tell you the story of God´s grace, provision and protection of getting us to this point!!!!! It will have to wait until we get some sleep though...we are looking forward to talking to our FAMILY today (we have missed birthdays, Christmas, New Years, and Addie´s christening...we are excited to hear how it all went), taking a HOT shower with RUNNING water, turning on a LIGHT when it´s dark outside, and sleeping on a MATRESS. ha, ha, ha...oh, the things we have to share!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS!! The favor that we have experienced in the last 10 weeks can only be explained by acknowledging that it was the response of a mighty God to the prayers and petitions of His children! We look forward to sharing testimony with you in the next week! We love you sooo much! God bless you and keep you close in His loving arms.

AWESOME GUYS... glad to hear that you are moving along through Columbia and having a great couple of days of peace! I miss seeing you guys more an d more each day and look forward to the day that we see each other in person again- its been so long and so much has changed! Wedding plans are still coming along for me here and school is keeping me busy- but it is going well (a lot because of your prayers!) I will continue to pray for you and I am so glad to hear that you have found peace in Columbia. May God continue to give you strength!

Love both of you as family,
